1. What data we collect
Contact details
If you send us a message, request a quote or subscribe to our newsletter, we ask for your name, email address and phone number. We use these exclusively to communicate with you and to provide the service you requested.
Browsing and log data
When you visit our website, some data is collected automatically: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the time and duration of your visit. We use this data to keep the website secure and to improve it.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to improve the user experience and to analyse visitor behaviour. You can read more about this in our Cookie policy.
2. Why we process your data
The legal bases for processing may be the following:
- Contractual obligation: where processing is necessary to provide a service (e.g. project work, handling a quote request).
- Consent: if you have subscribed to our newsletter or provided your data voluntarily.
- Legitimate interest: to keep the website secure, improve our services and prevent fraud (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We only send marketing messages if you have explicitly agreed to receive them.
3. How long we keep your data
We only store data for as long as necessary:
- Data related to a client relationship: 5 years from the end of the contractual relationship, in accordance with the applicable laws.
- Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
- Job application data: 6 months, unless you agree to a longer retention period.
- Browsing and log data: up to 26 months (Google Analytics default setting).
4. Who we share your data with
We treat your data confidentially. We only share it with third parties in the following cases:
- If Voov is required to do so by law or by an authority.
- If it is necessary as part of a business transaction (e.g. restructuring, acquisition), in which case we still ensure that data protection rules are respected.
- If you have explicitly consented to it.
- Our analytics and marketing tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) process anonymised or pseudonymised data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
5. How we store your data
Data is stored in a secure, password-protected MySQL database and on protected local servers. Printed documents (e.g. application materials) are kept in a locked office environment. We review the data regularly so that only what is necessary is retained.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- Access: you can ask us to show you what data we hold about you.
- Rectification: you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: you can ask us to delete your data if there is no legitimate reason to keep it.
- Restriction: you can ask us not to use certain data.
- Objection: you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Data portability: you can ask us to provide your data in a structured format to you or to another controller.
Please send your request to info@astrona.hu. We will respond within 30 days.
If you feel that we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).
